Pubit is operated by Joakim Lindqvist. By using Pubit, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
The Service
Pubit is a service that allows you to publish notes from Obsidian to a public website. The service includes:
- An Obsidian plugin for syncing notes
- Hosting for your published notes at yourname.pubit.site
- Image optimization and hosting
- A dashboard for managing your sites
Your Account
To use Pubit, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your account credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate account information
Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you publish through Pubit. By publishing content, you grant us a license to host, display, and distribute your content as necessary to provide the service.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to publish any content you upload, including text, images, and other media.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Pubit to publish content that:
- Is illegal or promotes illegal activities
- Infringes on intellectual property rights
- Contains malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Harasses, threatens, or abuses others
- Is spam or deceptive in nature
- Violates the privacy of others
- Contains adult content without appropriate warnings
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms.
Service Availability
Pubit is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. While we strive to maintain high availability:
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
- We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice
Free and Paid Services
Pubit currently offers free hosting at yourname.pubit.site subdomains. We plan to offer paid features in the future, such as custom domains. We will provide clear notice before introducing any charges for existing features.
Termination
You can stop using Pubit at any time by:
- Disconnecting your vault from the plugin
- Deleting your site via the dashboard
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Pubit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:
- The service will meet your specific requirements
- The service will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Any errors in the service will be corrected
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pubit and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the service
- Any unauthorized access to your content
- Any interruption or cessation of the service
- Any bugs, viruses, or similar issues transmitted through the service
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the website or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.
